OUR STORY

ShortBoxing was created in 2018. That was a couple of years after I started boxing and more than 8 years since I became a boxing fan.

But let me get back in the time a little. As I first started boxing I was eager to learn everything I could about it, not only the techniques that coaches are teaching nowadays but also the history of the sport and how the boxing evolved over the years.

During that time it was really hard for me in the gym. I was a beginner and I was confused about all the different combinations, defensive techniques and overall strategies you need use in the ring.

After reading dozens of boxing websites on the Internet I couldn’t find anything that I can go back to and read every day. There were some really good sites but most of them weren’t beginner-friendly and none of them combined the technique and strategy tips with history or just entertaining facts about boxing. Those sites were mostly purely technique focused or the only articles they published were reviews of boxing gear.

Then I had that an idea – to create my website where I share everything I learn about boxing the hard way (trough sparring, doing mistakes, learning the basics) with beginner boxers so they are at least be a little bit more aware of what they should do to be good at boxing.

I also started researching and writing all kinds of interesting things, facts, and figures in boxing.

It was tough at the beginning. A month after month there was no one reading my articles. The only thing that kept me going was my passion for the sport.

And then, in early 2019 I noticed that every day, more and more people started visiting the website. There were a lot of comments and suggestions for future articles. It was awesome!

The readers continued to increase and now, there are more than 30,000 people who visit ShortBoxing every month.

Recently I decided I need to start making videos to describe the more visual things (techniques, strategies) which I can’t explain well through articles.

So I contacted the boxing coach from Eboxing Academy, who was a ton of knowledge and experience he wants to share and invited him to work on our YouTube channel.

I am really excited about this project and want to see it grows and help more and more boxers become successful in the game no matter if they want to compete in an amateur or pro level, train just for fitness, self-defense or for fun.
